HPP has the right generators for any hydro power application as hydro power is dependent on individual dam site conditions, hydro electrical energy conversion machinery requirements differ from plant to plant. Thus, our hydro generators are tailor made for each project.
All our products have a unique HPP design features - which are recognized in the industry for their high levels of performance, quality and reliability.
For Small Hydro applications, we've developed a series of standard generators as well as a modular approach ensures proven components, short lead times and easy installation/start-up. These hydro generators are defined as three-phase synchronous electrical machines for coupling to hydroelectric turbines - either with direct coupling type or via speed-up gear box.
Our modular approach to small hydro generators offers:
- early definition of the generator characteristics
- pre-engineering of the main machine components
- manufacturing processes similar to series type production
- short delivery cycles
- easy installation and start-up
- fast availability of spare parts on short notice
These generators provide the following features:
- ratings up to 15 MVA
- mounting: vertical or horizontal
- voltages: normally between 0.415 kV - 11 kV
- excitation system: static or brushless available as standalone products
